I will need Emma Thompson to be my exaggerated wife from now on.
Last night, ITV aired the last episode of its ongoing series. An audience with …, And the theme of the show was the one and only Adele!
As is typical of An audience with …, The show featured live performances as well as general talks and questions from the star-studded audience.
Anyway, here are the 15 moments of the night that made me cry, laugh, and just stare in awe:
When Adele started the evening singing “Hometown Glory” and everyone went crazy.
This hilarious and unsolicited call and response from the crowd.
When he admitted that he would love to collaborate with Daniel Kaluuya.
And then when Adele was done crying and needed her makeup to be redone, she asked Alan Carr to perform “To Make You Feel My Love.”
When she paused for a sip of tea like the true British queen that she is!
When Adele revealed that several key workers and survivors and firefighters from the Grenfell tragedy were sitting in the middle row.
When Brystan Cranston was really ~ feeling ~ it.
When he talked about his idols, which apparently doesn’t include Beyoncé!
When she mentioned again that she’s a huge Spice Girls fan … in front of Mel B herself!
And of course, the star-studded audience it kept giving!
Congratulate Adele on a great evening and for being such a solid gold icon!
