400-Page Hardback Book Documents PS Vita’s Ten Year History

As the PS Vita approaches its 10th anniversary, author Sandeep Rai has launched a Kickstarter for a 400-page book documenting the entire history of the now discontinued device. Vita Means Life – which had a target of £6000 but had already crossed £15,000 at the time of writing – promises to “take a look at the events that shaped the fortunes of the format, from the well-received to the announced rocky launch” and all something after that.

The novel, an anthology compilation of three books Al Rai has written before, is expanded with “new material” detailing recent events. The final product will be divided into four sections, covering hardware history, interviews, past reviews, and a comprehensive library listing every PS Vita game released in Western regions.

If you want to back it up, you can pay £27 for a physical and digital copy, with a release date set for April next year. There are some extended targets, including an improved e-book and a collector’s guide, the latter of which will be delivered along with all purchases if the project exceeds £30,000. You can find more info here, but with a Kickstarter already at over £15,000 with 29 days left, we can probably already consider this a hit.
