A night to remember! The biggest names in music wasted no time for the 2021 American Music Awards.
From the second they arrived at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21, it was clear that fashion was at the forefront of the evening. Celebrities stood out in everything from trouser suits and tuxedos to little black dresses and glamorous gowns.
As for the biggest trends of the night, tons of celebrities embraced the trend for sassy cuts, including Becky G, Chloe Bailey, and Jojo, among others. The “Too Little, Too Late” singer opted for a dress with slits at the hips, while Bailey featured them all over the place.
With Olivia rodrigo leading the group with seven nominations (including Favorite Female Pop Artist and New Artist of the Year) and Cardi B serving as host, the 49th annual awards show was practically guaranteed to be a night to remember.
“I am very proud to announce that I will be hosting @AMA 2021!” The five AMA winner wrote in an Instagram post announcing the news on November 2, encouraging fans to “tune in on November 21 8 / 7c at @ABCnetwork.”
Of course, the accessories didn’t go unnoticed either. Celebrities went out of their way for AMAs in powerful high heels and eye-catching glitters. But, hands down, the most talked about of the night was Cardi B’s gold face mask, which was wildly unexpected and surprising.
