Actor Prakash Raj, who has been a staunch supporter of farmers’ rights since his protests against the three controversial farm laws began, called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday to take responsibility for the deaths of farmers during the protests.
Citing a tweet posted by Telangana Minister of Urban Development and Municipal Administration, KT Rama Rao, Prakash Raj, in his tweet, said: “Dear Prime Minister, SORRY not enough … just asking.”
In the tweet, Rama Rao had said that he was proud of the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao, who had announced an ex gratia amount of Rs 3 lakh to all the more than 750 farmers who had lost their lives fighting against the agricultural laws. in the National Capital Region.
The minister had also said that the Telangana chief minister had demanded that the Union government announce a sum of Rs 25 lakh as thanks to each of the farmers’ families and also drop all cases against them unconditionally.
