Priyanka Chopra Jonas did not refrain from joking about her relationship with Nick Jonas in the comedy special “Jonas Brothers Family Roast” released on Netflix on Tuesday.
“Seriously though, I want to talk about how much I love my husband and what I love about him,” Chopra Jonas said after hitting Jonas a few times as part of the roast. “One of the things I love about my husband is how much we have in common. For example, we are both totally, completely, totally obsessed – and I mean obsessed – with Nick Jonas. We love Nick Jonas, both of us. He’s ours. favorite “.
She continued to poke fun at her husband, saying, “I wouldn’t want to be married to anyone else, guys. I mean it. Unless, of course, Chris Hemsworth suddenly becomes single, it could turn things around.”
Chopra Jonas’s comment about the Marvel star, who has been married to actress Elsa Pataky since 2010 and has three children with her, caused Jonas to laugh.
Chopra Jonas and Jonas started talking when the musician slipped into their Twitter direct messages in the fall of 2015, saying, “Several people have told me that we should meet.”
In his memoir published earlier this year, Chopra Jonas said he Googled the Disney Channel alum after receiving the message.
She and Jonas texted each other for months, but didn’t meet in person until 2017 at the Vanity Fair Oscar after party. A few months later, they attended the Met Gala together wearing Ralph Lauren outfits, but they were still not a couple at the time.
They reconnected at the Met Gala in May 2018 and began dating that month. At some of those hangouts, Jonas said he knew he wanted to marry the “Quantico” star.
Jonas proposed to her in July of that year, and the couple tied the knot in late 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur, India, during two extravagant ceremonies.
On the comedy special, the “Quantico” star talked about their 10-year age difference and roasted Jonas.
“There are a lot of 90s pop culture references that he doesn’t understand, and I have to explain them to him, which is fine because we teach each other,” said Chopra Jonas. “We taught each other things. He showed me how to use TikTok, for example. And I showed him what a successful acting career looks like.”
The actor also made a joke about babysitting Jonas because of his age and opined that people called their relationship a “publicity stunt” when they got married.
“How could it be? I didn’t even know how famous Nick was. All I knew was that he was Kevin Jonas’ younger brother,” Chopra Jonas said.
